Record from Hik Connect directly to Hikvision NVR

I just bought a new NVR DS-7600NI-Q2/8P, and I am using hik-connect app. Whenever I record something from Hik-connect it records locally on the phone. I need to be able to initiate and stop recording on the installed Hdd of the NVR manually from the phone. Is this possible?

improve Night Vision

Hi all,
thank you in advance for your help. I have a few Hikvision cameras in my garder that are doing great during the day. Unfortunately, for two of them I have some challeges at night. They cover a very wide area and the built-in IR is not powerfull enough for my needs. The items that are far away from the camera (> 7meters) are in the dark (while I can see them very well during the day). I've already played around with WDR etc.

Now I need to decide if it's better fixing the issue adding...

Hikvision NVR Noise figures

Hi.

I have been looking at the Hikvision data sheets for NVR noise,specifically from the fans and so on . I cannot find any published dB figures for the NVRs.

Am I correct in this assumption ? I am considering replacing my DS-7608NI-K2 / 8P - it performs really well but the noise drives me up the wall. If necessary I'd consider a single network channel NVR and use a silent PPOE brick to cut out the need for the high power fan .

Basically - what's the quietest NVR I can get ...

Hik-Connect App Issues - Edit Device Name

Hi all. Hopefully a quick one if you’ll bear with me; I previously had a 4 channel Hikvision NVR (DS-7604NI-K1-4P(B)) and upgraded it to the 8 channel equivalent (DS-7608NI-K2-8P) as it’s predecessor was struggling to cope with the 4nr cameras running at 4K and kept randomly rebooting multiple times per day.

The new NVR has been setup with identical settings as the previous and everything is working as expected with the exception of the Hik-Connect app (note: all firmware is up to date).

Nvr Hikvision password problem

Hi everyone I have a problem, I installed a Nvr 7608 NI I2 8P with the latest firmware: 4.21.008.
I turned it on and following the guided creation I got to the point of inserting the unlock sign but didn't ask me for the admin password. unfortunately I only set the unlock sign, but then I had a problem, I had to go into an ip camera and asked me for user and password but how do I know what password it is?
how do you set the admin password?
trying to set it asks me for the old password.

Loss of images on various apps

I am using a Hikvision two camera home CCTV setup and today I can't view any images via Hik-Connect and iVMS4500 on my mobile phone and, neither can I view any images via iVMS4500 on my pc, nor can I get at any of the images via Hik-Connect using Internet Explorer on my computer. I get the error message which tells me that the device is either 'not connected or is off-line' This is absolute rubbish as whilst I am trying to make the connections via these apps, I am watching live images on...

Hi guys I'm new to the forum and this is my first question. I have an on-site I series NVR connected to a few hikvision cameras. Due to limited connection bandwidth on the place, connection of multiple concurrent users to the NVR is not possible. My idea was to add another NVR off-site which would synchronize to the on-site NVR and all users would connect to that one instead. One could think that the local NVR is not needed in this case, but my reasoning is that a LAN connection is more...

In Hik Connect web browser when i try to Add Device and put S/N but when I hit the search button the popup appear that "
The device cannot be added."

Cameras not connecting to a replacement new model Hikvision NVR (DS-7716NI-I4-16P)

Customer has replaced his old NVR with a newer model (DS-7716NI-I4-16P).
He does not recall the user name and password for the old NVR (Hikvision DS-7716NI-E4-16P ).
The old NVR will have passed its credentials to all of the connected cameras i.e. the user name and password for each cameras is as per the old NVR.

Because we do not know their user name and password, the new NVR cannot connect to them.
Therefore each camera will need to be reset.
The cameras are all older models, none have...

Disable Acusense flashing light and audio via one key disarm or API

I've been able to successfully stop outgoing notifications from my NVR using one key disarm :)

The acusense camera however continues to flash and sound in the event of an event - Fair enough, one key disarms stops notifications, not the event from happening.

I am aware you can turn those features off it off by logging into the camera or by a schedule. Is there any way to disable the flashing light and audio, perhaps through the Hikvision web API?

Can you board swap between cameras (2CD2042WD-1)

Have a lead on 4 cameras that “Don’t Work”.......
All have ‘original’ firmware in them whatever that means... I do have latest/Last USA Version firmware)...
If 2 of same model cameras that work, with same firmware, swap boards. Will they still work?
In other words—are the boards interchangeable to make one good out of multiple bad cameras?

Installed latest firmware IPCM_H3_EN_STD_5.6.10_190808 on DS-2CD7A26G0 DeepView camera.
After that the Export button in Picture download - Vehicle detection section keeps saying Failed to search pictures.
Attemt to downgrade firmware fails with:
Failed to get the upgrading progress
Is there any way to fix it?

Hikvision DS-2CD2342WD-I
I have a condensing boiler vent below my camera.

It keeps triggering events.
Ive turned down to 20 sensitivity and it still triggers.

Hi All,
I've been using Hik-Connect on my Android mobile for more than 12 months - without issues.
I use it to access my HikVision NVR with 4 cameras.
Over the last couple of days when I access the Hik Connect app on my Samsung mobile my Device it is showing my 4 cameras, Camera 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Plus an extra 5th Camera ??? which is listed as Multi-window@DS-7608N-K2-8P

When I go to the floating thumbnail view where I normally see the live view of my 4 cameras, I'm now...

I have an Hikvision NVR with two Hikvision cams attached via a LAN (not direct into back of NVR).
NVR: DS-7604NI-K1/4P(B)
RoofCam: DS-2CD2385G1
DoorCam: DS-2CD2142FWD-IS

I set up Hik-Connect, and entered the NVR serial number. The 'RoofCam' shows up fine on live view on the Hik-Connect (android) app, but the 'DoorCam' does not. Both cams display their 'playback' fine in the app. Its just the live view that doesnt work for DoorCam.

Live view work fine for DoorCam on my direct attached...

Hi there,

Firmware version V3.4.99 build 180706

'Wonder if anyone can help me with two queries:
- I would like to enable the ability to connect to the PoE powered cameras but this virtual host option is not available via the web interface
- I need to take a live snapshot from any of the connected cameras - I cannot configure the second stream to be MJPEG and all attempts using various /Streaming/channels/102/snapshot or httpPreview or picture don't work.

I am using a DS-7208 DVR with 5 cameras. I am currently planning to add 2 cameras. Can Wireless IP Camera be connected to DS-7208 ?? and how to connect it?? Does anyone have experience like this?? Thank you
