IP Address

I have been having problems when trying to view my CCTV images when I am away from home.

It turns out that I need to use the IP address as issued by my Broadband supplier and so I substituted the one that I was using with the alternative.

I set up my Android phone using this amended IP address and it worked a treat. Today I decided to set up my Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 to view the images and so I used all of the figures from my phone. Unfortunately it didn't work and, I then tried my phone...

Pre-Record + Post-Record Settings Not Working

Recording Schedule set to Motion Record 24/7
Advanced Settings:
Pre-Record 10s
Post-Record 10s

Recorded Activations are only showing the motion event and no pre or post recording.
Is there a setting I have missed?

PTZ Camera Added to NVR but only letting my see its secondary stream settings

Hi I have 2 Cameras linked to my NVR via a Wireless bridge I have added them Via the Web GUI but for some reason they treat the main feed as the sub feed thus having lower resolution and bit rate.

First off all I want to say Hi to all use-ip community.

I have on my hands an Easy Ip 4.0 Series AcuSence NVR.
I am trying to test its capabilities with 2 simple (no AcuSence) ip cams.

First cam is a new non POE, no smart event (only motion) DS-2CD2021G1-IDW1, connected by wire (WiFi disabled).
Second is an older POE (not used for now), smart event (line crossing-intrusion) DS-2CD2020F-I.

Lets talk about the first cam.
Camera supports 2 motion detection configuration, Normal and Expert...

Does the NVR need a fan?

Just looking inside the Hikvision 7604NI and there is no fan.
There is room for one.

Are they needed?
Any complaints of overheating on these units with POE?

Just wondering if I need a fan or not.

Hi beautiful people,

After 'tidying up' all the rest of my infrastructure at home I am looking at upgrading the cameras in the flat while reusing the current cameras - if possible - in the basement.

Where I say 'if possible' is because my current cameras are now deprecated (DS-2CD2432F-IW) and I am thoroughly confused about the firmware version.

There is a sticky thread about a firmware vulnerability on Hikvision cameras and although I wasn't overly concerned - you need to connect through...

There is a new version of the firmware for the I series NVRs on the EU portal
Verion 4.21.008

There is also a folder called release notes but in true Hikvision style they haven't put any release notes for this version in there.

Him connect cam offline

The Hikvision app shows one of my ip cameras as offline. ( this was due to a faulty cable now fixed ) the camera is back working however the app still shows it offline. I can’t seem to refresh the app. Any ideas ?

NAS - files saved into first folder only!

I use 4 x G1 Series cameras (minidomes and cube) that save data to NAS. All used to work fine but after upgrading to firmware V5.5.83 I noticed all video files are saved into one folder only. All other folders / disks where camera has access are never updated - they are all 0 size.

I added 3x network shares (NAS) for each camera - 3x 200GB. When camera initializes the disks it creates folders/files structure on each disk correctly. But the files are never written to any other location...

Interrupting a PTZ preset

Hi guys

I have a few presets that are setup on a schedule to run 24/7. Essentially, point left, point right, point down, return to sequence start. on about a 15 second delay for each stage.

When I take manual control of the PTZ controls, I get very little time with the controls before the camera reverts to patrolling - after scrolling around and viewing what I'm viewing, maybe 2-5 seconds at best.

Is there a setting somewhere I can change that allows PTZ override for x number of seconds...

Hello

Is it possible to set cameras to have a local IP address when connected to the NVRs POE ports please? I am guessing not and I will need to keep using my Netgear switch plugged into the NVR?

New Intercom 2nd Generation + NVR POE 7608ni/k2

Hi everybody, i recently buy the new intercom module from hikvision. But i got a problem, once the nvr start i can work with intercom 2 minutes max and after, all screen reboot and ime 8003 is impossible to reach and found. My cameras and intercom are connected directly to the POE NVR 7608ni/k2 and i set POE sub to 192.0.0.1 Someone have any ideas of my problem ? Thanks !

Hello all,

I’m looking for a 4 camera setup and has a few questions.

- can I use the 8mp easyIP 3.0 cameras with a acuvu nvr to get those features or are they only for easyIP 4 cameras?

- does anyone have any experience with the colorvu cameras - are they a lot better than the new 8mp G1 camera? Do they have a visible light on them since it doesn’t seem to be IR. is it bright / intrusive?

- for the varifocal cameras does the nvr zoom in when it detects things or is it o Ly for manual...
