HikVision push notifications to IVMS-4500 App have stopped working on G1 cameras & latest firmware

You may have found that push notifications to the HikVision IVMS-4500 App have stopped working if you have G1 series (aka EasyIP 3.0) cameras and have upgraded them to the latest V5.5.0 / 5.5.2 / 5.5.3 firmware.

HikVision introduced an additional security setting which you now need to adjust for use with the IVMS-4500 App (push notifications to the Hik-Connect App should remain fine with default settings).

Navigate to Configuration -> System -> Security
In the "WEB Authentication" field...

How to get an event or a callback from camera when its alarm input is triggered?

Hi,

I connect my IP camera HIK DS-2CD3145F-IS to external motion detector. In WEB->Configuration->Event->AlarmStatus, I see Alarm status “On” by motion. I can get this status through ISAPI too: ISAPI/System/IO/outputs/1/trigger. Now my question – how I can get event or set callback by change alarm status? I don’t want ask the camera alarm status every second but I need camera event if status changed.

Hi

Just looking for some advice I've read through a lot of the guides as I'm awaiting delivery of a new Hikvision NVR and 2 x cameras to get me started with my home CCTV.

As I'm on a dynamic IP at home I was thinking I'd need the HiDDNS until I saw it's been discontinued. Is the HikConnect a good enough alternative, is it reliable enough to use with a dynamic IP or would people recommend going down the NO-IP etc route?

Is it a bit too basic or will it provide good enough functionality?

HikVision have released new V4 firmware for some NVR ranges today.
It's a big change to your user interface, so you might want to set some time aside (and maybe wait a few days for feedback from the pioneers) before making this update!

Any HIKVision IP Cameras working standalone without DVR/NVR

Hello all,
Wondering if someone can answer me. I wanted to buy HIKVision Fisheye IP camera but seller told me it works through NVR only. I want to use it standalone. Do you guys know if it is all HIKVision IP cameras or there are some models available which can work standalone without DVR/NVR? Thanks in advance.

HikVision error: 302 (camera is disabled or not connected)

Connecting to our DS-9664NI-I8 NVR with the iVMS-4200 software on Windows PCs, performance seems to have dipped, causing the software not to connect to the cameras occasionally, giving the error: 302 (camera is disabled or not connected).

We can still see all cameras available via the web interface so that isn't true.

I've installed the software to 3 computers which all worked fine for weeks, and now suddenly we're getting this.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi everybody

i have bought one hikvision ip poe camera, the model is ds-2cd1021-i

i want to make it working with normal usual power adapter 12volts 3a

the end on camera side is rj-45 connector with all 8 pins ( B type ) and the on the other

side is rj-45 connector with 4 pins only orange and green as usual need for network to work

and the spare pins brown (7,8) pair and blue pair (4,5)are to give power to camera

is it possible to connect them to power adapter brown pair as negative...

Please see the attached document from HikVision below. It's an old document, so some updates to note and follow in the steps below:

  1. Use the Reset button on your Samsung camera to take it back to its default settings.
  2. Connect your Samsung camera to your general LAN (use a POE source or PSU to power your camera).
  3. Install and run Samsung/Wisenet's 'Wisenet Device Manager' on your PC.
  4. Search for devices using that utility.

NVR+Hik-Connect alarm notifications no picture

Pls could someone point me in the right direction with notifications within the Hik-Connect (HC) app for NVRs?

When my 2CD-2142FWD is connected directly to HC, a motion alarm will include a picture taken at the event.

But when the same camera is connected via my NVR, the HC will only show a bell symbol on the triggering of an alarm event?

Is there anyway to have alarm events from the NVR to include a picture, as is normal when a cam is connected directly?

Hi, i have a DS-2CD2042WD-I, installed IVMS on windows pc, setting up the camera & storage server, and hik-connect. So working everythings perfect from client software.

I would like to watch recorded videos from storage server on Android, installed the IVMS 4500, live view works, but in remote playback "no recorded file". How can i acces to recorded videos on storage server?

Hi all,

I'm a relatively new Hikvision user, running 3 x DS-2CD2155FWD domes and a DS-7604NI-K1 NVR. Install and setup was extremely straightforward and I have the thing happily recording, generating events and pushing notifications to my phone. I'm running the latest firmware on all devices.

The only challenge I am having is with event detection tuning. I've tried a mix of basic motion detection, smart intrusion detection and line crossing detection but I find that it's either super...

Hey Guys,

Once again this forum has been a life saver.. I have learnt a lot over quite a few months.

I'm currently looking at the right NVR to drive the following 10 camera setup:

7 x DS-2CD2342WD-I
3 x DS-2CD2385FWD-I (Used for outside due to better night vision on this camera)

Ideally a 12 port NVR is what I am looking for. I am sure if I pick something its going to be the wrong thing. :(

I would like to also swap 1 of the DS-2CD2342WD-I cameras with a camera that has a microphone...

Hi all, this is my first thread so please be gentle with me.

First, some details. I have two Hikvision DS-2CD2335FWD-I cameras connected directly to a Hikvision NVR DS-7604NI-K1. The firmware is up to date on both cams and NVR.

I am generally happy with my setup. However, I do have two problems with my system.

1, The “Enable Virtual Host” option keeps resetting back to off. This is not a big problem, but it is annoying if I use a browser to reach a camera. Does anyone know anything about...
