Hikvision ANPR DS-2CD4A26FWD Registration Manager software

Hello all,

I'm sure a few of you being installers have installed the DS-2CD4A26FWD range of ANPR cameras from Hikvision.

As a lot of you probably know, updating the whitelist and blacklist was always a bit of a chore, having to upload the excel document every time! Perfect cameras to work with an electric gate or barrier, but so tedious to add number plates!

I, like many had to play around with iVMS-5200 to make life a little more bearable, but that software is expensive, and still...

DS-2DE2103-DE3 & Hik-connect

Hi,
I've upgraded the firmware on this camera to the recommended latest version (V5.4.71 build 170407).
I have been able to register the device using my hik-connect account, I can set a Device Domain for the camera, I can login over the web no problem.

I can view the camera on the IVMS-4500 app through the Hik-Connect menu, however when I try to add the camera to the 'Devices' list, I have problems.

1) I the device does not appear under the 'Device Domain' when I try to manual add with the...

Hikvision Turret camera not great at night

Hi

I have multiple external cameras.

1 x Turret 2.8mm 5mp DS-2CD2355FWD-I

3 x Dome 2.8mm 5mp DS-2CD2155FWD-I


The Turret seems to be very bad at seeing in the night. Its darker and especially so in the distance.

Are there any settings i can adjust to make the image as good as my dome cameras?

The dome ones are great, day or night. And i think in general have better quality image. Wish i just bought Dome all round.

Cloudy camera

Hi am new to all this however I have just purchased and installed 3 x Hikvision DS-2CD2355FWD-I/GREY 5MP 2.8mm Lens IP67 30 Metre IR Turret. All 3 went up the same in similar positions and all worked fine but then 1 within an hour changed. I have attached pics of one cam working fine and the one which isn’t. Can anyone help tell me what is the issue?

Hi,
I bought Hikvision IP Camera DS-2CD2542FWD couple of days ago and already facing a problem.When I received the camera I plugged it into POE switch, went to the browser and used 192.168.1.64 to bring up the cameras feed.
Everything worked fine and I even tried Blue Iris and IVMS 4200 client just to do some comparison and testing before it goes up to the front of my house.I was all happy until Thursday morning.
I decided to install camera into planned location.Plugged it into CAT6 cable...

NVR going crazy this morning

Hi

My NVR hasn't behaved since installing the newest firmware. I swear it's that! lol

Currently I have a lot of disconnected cameras with apparently the wrong IP addresses. When I use the SADP tool to change the IP addresses to what the NVR thinks they should be, the cameras work. But after correcting a few I go back and more cameras have bad IPs. Something is sending out new IPs to the cameras.

I can't set the cameras to DHCP using the SADP tool. If I check the option it is ignored upon...

Motion or continous

Hi
I currently have my Outdoor cameras set to motion detection. But ive noticed on two occassions now when reviewing some footage, it would stop recording midway through and I would miss part of an event.

Im thinking of setting my NVR to record continously instead.

Who here prefers either continous or motion? And any advice on what settings to tweak for motion so not to miss any details?

Recently we've had a few customers who have experienced some issues with the PoE connectors on the pigtail of their Hikvision device that has caused it to stop receiving power. This can be as a result of a lot of things - faulty weatherproofing leading to corrosion within the connector, damaging it or just plain bad luck.

Hikvision themselves unfortunately do not offer replacement PoE connectors so...

Lost "Live View" on NVR after configuring Hik-Connect

I've set up Hit-Connect so I have remote access via my iPad but I now cannot get "Live View" when connected to the NVR (DS-7732) locally via web browser. This is the message I get. If I disable the Hik-Vision option (which turns off the Verification Code" the Live View works. Any thoughts on getting round this? Thx, Paul. Screen Shot 2018-02-01 at 13.07.15.png

Something weird and i know folks here will help.
Last Sunday i turned on 'virtual host' on my NVR 7608 (Firmware V3.0.15 build 150528). Pleased as punch, i could see IP address for each of my 6 cameras.
Camera's on old versions of firmware, but i stayed away from that in 1st instance (there be dragons i thought!) as i didn't have a ton of time.
I did however change the password on each of the cameras from default (12345) to something else, and I also changed the names of the cameras to match...

Hello,

Please excuse that I am not overly technically minded.

We have just had Hikvision cameras installed. It is using my home internet but covers a couple of properties so others need to login to it using their phones.

Since set up we have found it works reasonably well (a little delay) on everyones phones, until I open up the app on my phone whilst connected to my Wifi. This then kicks everyone else off and the only way to get them all seeing again is if I restart my router and ensure...

Live View stuttering

Hi

When I try and view Live View through the iVMS-4200 client or Internet Explorer (on the same network as the NVR, not remotely), the feed comes up but freezes after 2 seconds, then gets going again after 5-8 seconds, but freezes again. If I change to a sub-stream (in IE, I can't see how to do this in iVMS) the quality is greatly reduced, but it runs smoothly.

So it feels like a bandwidth problem, but if I switch to playback mode it will play normally even at a decent resolution (there's...

My Hikvision IP Camera DS-2CD2542FWD-IS is having problems with the NTP. I think the camera is having problems connecting to Internet.
Please help me out.

A few notes:
- all my 3 computers use time.windows.com:123 with no issues
- the camera is connected to the same home network through POE switch
