NVR resetting itself

Hi I have a hikvision DS-7604NI-SE-P the dvr keeps rebooting I thought it was the hard drive as it only reboots it self once every month about the same date. But now the dvr is rebooting itself every ten minutes or so. So I bought a new hard drive tryed to format it but can't get onto it because when the dvr reboot you can go into the menu put the password in then the mouse freeze and will not do anything then the dvr reboots itself again any one had this issue cheers jason

Good Morning Guys,
I need to start / stop video recording and save on local SD CARD on my Cube Cam (DS-2CD2442FWD) using API.
I have read the manual but seems that the command to register are based only on event (Smart, Line ecc).

Any suggestion?

Anyone have SNMP working with HIK network cameras?

I'm using a network monitoring app, but for the life of me I can't get SNMP working, using v1, v2c, or v3. HIK want's a trap address, but this isn't typically require for our other devices that we are monitoring (50+). I'm unable to snmpwalk the camera from the server running our monitoring software. I'm justing seeing probe/cred failures in my debug logs.

Hikvision "Device is Offline"

Morning all!

I am using Hikvision DVR with 8 Dome cameras, i can view all the cameras on the desktop client of IVMS but on my phone it states "Device is Offline" any ideas how i can fix?

The IP addresses match on both bits of software.

I have tried on both Android and IOS.

My DVR model is DS-7208HWHI-K1

First of all please can i say that i am far from technically minded when it comes to this so please bear with me.

i have a DS-7204HQHI-SH DVR , Virgin Media, using No-IP for DDNS as i use ivms 4500 on my mobile phone.

all was working fine until about 4 days ago when i failed to connect on my phone. nothing that i know of had chained vrigin or NOIP wise. the dvr and cameras are still working and recording but i cannot see them on my phone.

within the setting on the DVR it says connection...

Hello,

I have a DS-7732NI-I4 / 24P

The NVR is on a cellular data plan (for remote viewing). I was hoping I would be able to limit the users' to only view sub channels with lower bitrates. This in turn would make the cellular data plan (10 GB per month, but would be willing to spend up to 20 GB) last much, much longer.

If the user goes into single screen mode then they get the main channel stream (currently set to 1080p). The bandwidth usage is about 4 Mbit/s. That's recording...

macOS Catalina & Hikvision

has anyone fathomed how to view Hikvision on a Mac with OS updated to the latest Catalina?

I have tried iVMS4200 - crashes every thime
Sea Monkey - Live view not working

Never managed to get safari or Firefox - even with plugins - but they're totally out of the running now.


Any genius that has cracked the Hikvision/Mac mystery please help!!!!!!!!!!!

Hikvision DS-7208HQHI-K1 is intermittently offline. No settings were changed. What is causing this?

My device is DS-7208HQHI-KI. 2 cameras attached.
It was installed about 4 months ago and works very well. But intermittently the cameras are offline on the app. They are currently offline for last 5 weeks and dont seem to be coming back online. I followed as many suggested solutions online:
pinged the device from my pc -- I received a response
pinged telnet -- no problems there
I checked and rechecked all config settings, even restoring to default settings.
However on the device...

Hikvision DS-7208HQHI-K1 is intermittently offline. No settings were changed. What is causing this?

Hikvision NVR Lost Live View Sub-Stream, But Works On Camera Directly?

I have lost my sub-stream after a reboot of the swtich/camera. I can be logged into the NVR and the camera at the same time. When logged into the camera I can view the main and sub stream no problem. When I select the substream in the NVR/configuration menu for the same channel camera, I get "The camera does not support the function." The main full resolution stream works fine. HikConnect app works fine as well.

IVMS4200 on a separate PC is also reporting Error Code HCNetSDK.dll[91].

Getting Non HikVision camera to display on iVMS-4500

Is it possible to get a Non HikVision camera to display on iVMS-4500 viewer? just a local LAN connection needed....
I've got 5 Hikvision cameras that display fine in iVMS-4500, but would like to add one Non-HikVision camera (An older TrendNet Camera)
Does a tutorial on this exist?

Problems Running iVMS-4200 on MacOS Catalina(10.15)

We have had several customers and forum users reporting problems running iVMS-4200 since updating to MacOS Catalina (10.15), the reports have varied from some saying the software runs ok but does crash unexpectedly to others saying the iVMS software does not work at all.

If you have G1 cameras (2xx3G0/2xx5FWD/2xx5G1) and/or an I-series NVR you can get around the iVMS issues by updating to the latest firmware and logging in to the NVR/cameras with any browser using the 'plug-in free'...

Recently we've had a few customers who have experienced some issues with the PoE connectors on the pigtail of their Hikvision device that has caused it to stop receiving power. This can be as a result of a lot of things - faulty weatherproofing leading to corrosion within the connector, damaging it or just plain bad luck.

Hikvision themselves unfortunately do not offer replacement PoE connectors so...

Hi all. just updating this camera before I replace it soon, as its all fully operational I am trying to find out how / where I can download the last available firmware for this camera, any idea? Popped over to the HK site and could not find a archive folder for downloads.

DS-7716NI-K4 / 16P NVR - Live View Issue after V4 firmware update

Hi there,

I have just upgraded my DS-7716NI-K4 / 16P NVR to firmware V4 and all the cameras are working fine apart from one in LiveView on the web interface or the HIK Connect App.

The error that I am getting is "Video playing failed. Error code: (246106)"

Everything was working fine before the update.

Any advise?

I have just done a complete clean re-install of Windows 10 on my computer and, it became necessary for me to download iVMS4200 again.

I have done this and I find that it is totally different to the version that I had previously. It does seem very much better even though I haven't got to grips with it yet. One of the problems that I have run into is being unable to switch between my two cameras.

Does anyone know where I might find (Download) an updated user manual for the new version...

I wonder if anyone can advise if this camera comes in black? I want it to keep an eye on my shed so will be fitting under the eaves of my kitchen (single story approx 8ft high) and shed is 9m away. The eaves and fascias are black and I wanted the camera same colour if possible. There do not seem to be many Hickvision domes in black.
