An update to the 9600 series has just been brought to our attention. If you are setting up any level of RAID above RAID 0 on a 9600 Series NVR that is running firmware v4.1.6xxx or newer then all your HDDs must be at least 4TB, if any of the drives used in your RAID array are less than 4TB you will get the error message in the title of this post - “Capacity requires at least 3728.00 GB”

Camera Upgrade problem after replacing my Hikvision DS-2CD2385FWD-I with a DS-2CD2385G1-I
Hi! I've just replaced my DS-2CD2385FWD-I with a DS-2CD2385G1-I
I was hoping for an improvement in quality due to Darkfighter technology.
I have attached captured stills that show an actual reduction in quality!
Even though both cameras have 2.8mm lens, the 2385G seems to be capturing a larger scene & I'm wondering whether the left hand side with the greater degree of ambient light might be affecting the darker right hand area.
Anybody with thoughts?

Clearing Space
It appears today my device is indicating the storage is full. Is there a way through the admin console in the web browser that I can set the video to overwrite? I see there are ways to do it from the actual unit admin but currently I can't get my mouse to respond to let me log in.

Video recorder for 4pcs of 4K cameras - recording in original quality
Dear fellow forumers,
We would like to install 4 pcs of 4MP VuColour POE cameras or 4pcs of 4K AcuSense POE cameras. In either case what would be the most cost effective video recorder which would be able to simultaneously record from all 4 cameras in original resolution?
The reason why I am a bit unsure because for example the datasheet of the DS-7204HTHI-K1 says max 4 camera, max 8MP (12fps). Does it really mean that it can record in 4K from all 4 cameras simultaneously? That to me...

Best practice for disk space management on my Hikvision NVR?
Just wondering what would be considered the right way to
- Optimise the use of disk space via video settings
- Manage the space that each camera uses.
Feels like there should be a setting that says "let this camera use x MB of space"
Using the web interface and not seeing any settings that really let you manage the disks or know what each camera is using.
The disk is now full and not sure how to get it back to having some space

I just purchased a DS-7608NI-K2 (updated to V3.4.109 Build 200320), I purchased a house but the previous owner took the NVR with him leaving the cameras, There are 6 cameras, a door station and a doorbell (doorstation and doorbell are some Aussie brand - Ness that have some sort of relationship with hikvision but also dont go because the egateway that controls them was taken as well).
I plugged all of the cables into the NVR upon setting it up and it appears the first two cables...

I have a Hikvision DS-7608NI-E2 DVR.
now I have set up DDNS and used dyn.com.
Connection okay. I also activated port forwarding and changed the HTTP port to 7899.
Now the receiver can be reached at my brother via dyn.com:7899.
However, the DVR does not allow you to be integrated into ivms4000 via IP.
The error "Device offline" always occurs
However, the port obviously leads out, otherwise my brother could not access it.

I have recently got my hands on a DS-2CD2347G1-LU camera and have been tweaking the motion detection. Should the draw area/grid be reactive, and showing when motion is detected? I am doing this on the web interface of the camera itself. I noticed on some videos online that setting this up via the NVR, get to see in real time when areas of the grid are picking up motion so that one can adjust the responsivness etc. As far as I can tell, the NVR's interface is just a webpage...

Any chance of getting min/max box in event for R7 firmware?
(specific camera are; DS-2DE4A404IW-DE and DS-2DE3304W-DE)
i'm struggling to get rid of false positive in intrusion or line detection on R7 firmware even with 1% sensitivity.
I have 2 others (G1 firmware) that have the min/max and i have no issue at all.
I wish that I had min/max on R7 or something else

Line Crossing Detection Intermittently Failing at Night
Hi All
I am still a newbie at much of this but have been fine tuning my settings as best I can. I recently noticed that my line crossing detection was not being tripped for some vehicles at night. I would say it works 75% of the time at night and is perfect in the day time.
Check out the video to see what I mean (you will see the line does not go red):

I was looking for help in purchasing the correct equipment to add a additional camera to my current set up. I have a I.T background so I thought I'd give it a go myself.
Currently I have a Hikvision DS-7204HGHI-F1 which I belive is a 4 channel DVR. The DVR has no more room to add any additional cameras to it. The DVR is also in a separate location to the router. I belive that I can add additional 5 network cameras to the system.

Exporting Footage Squashes it
When I export footage from the DVR box using the actual box, and the mobile app the footage that saves looks very squashed, and is not in the widescreen resolution that it is shown during playback on the box and app. Am I missing something here ?
