Hi, all, i am sorry to bother you guys but i was wondering if you could help with a question. I have Hikvision 7608NI-I2-8P Nvr along with a couple of 2385''s and 2355's, I am interested in having snapshots taken of evens and being stored on the NVR like i could do with my Dahua when i had it. I have noticed on the cams it will take full-res photos but on the NVR will only take relatively low res pics, do you if there is a workaround for this?

Uploading Event Captures to Dropbox from DS-7608NI-I2/8P
New user looking for some advice. I have read conflicting advice regarding being able to upload stills to an external Cloud device from the NVR. On my device under storage management I can only see Cloud2.0 as an available option? I read elsewhere that cloud storage is only applicable to HQHI-F/N and HUHI-F/N, and all – K series DVR? If this is true are there any workarounds? Thank you.

5MP ColorVU smart light setup
Hi people recently setup a 3 5mp ColorVu cameras (DS-2CE10HFT-F), seemed straight forward enough, but under the camera sub menu, smart light>mode, it gives you 2 options mode 1 or mode 2, but no where in the install manual does it describe what the setting does? can anyone shine any light on it for me? I seem to suffer a lot from ghosting on live playback as well as downloaded recordings and for the life of me I can't figure out a solution. Hi I have a Hikvision DS-7608NI-K2/8P 8 Channel NVR, bought in 2016, which the power supply recently failed on. I have replaced the power supply with the same make and model which is working correctly. Now when I boot up the NVR it does not show up on the network and the SADP tool does not find any HIKVision items on the network. Smart tracking and NVR issue
I set the smart tracking in the cameras own console DS-2DE4A225IW-DE and it tracks seamlessly however the NVR DS-7604NI-E1 / 4P/A does not record the smart tracking. The NVR records fine when the Smart tracking is off. Can anyone tell me what settings I need to enable/disable for the smart tracking to be recorded by the NVR please? Both of the cameras and the NVR have the latest Firmware.

Wireless Chime Options For Hikvision NVR Alarm Output
I have a Hikvision DS-7616NI-I2 NVR which I would like to notify me of any events (e.g. intrusions/line crossings) via an external chime. I'd want this to be particularly loud as I find the NVR's internal chime isn't sufficient.

How to get HIGHEST settings on NVR
Hi,
I have a DS-7608NI-K2/8p
Currently, if I set my 8MP cameras to Highest image quality they do not record or run on live view at any frame rate.
I lower that to the 'Higher' setting then they run even at 20 FPS.
Is there something I should be doing differently?
I'm slowly replacing all my cameras. Eventually I will have 6x 8MP.
What is currently the best NVR for this? Or is it not an NVR issue?

My first time posting on the forum, so please bear with me if I placed it in the wrong section.
My problem is with the input and outputs at the back of my nvr ( Hikvision DS-7616NI-I2 / 16P NVR)

HDD Not Exist
Hi,
I have a Hikvision NVR with a Seagate 2TB hard drive (Green). I've had this for two years without any issue. However, yesterday I had two power cuts and since then the NVR isn't recording as the HDD is seen as Not Exist. I have tried to format it but it doesn't do anything.
I try to connect this HDD to the laptop although it recognises it, I can't not see the drive for it.

Using a UPS with Hikvision NVRs
Hikvision do recommend using an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with their NVRs if you wish to protect/maintain the power supply.
If you are using POE from the NVR to power your IP cameras, then the UPS will in fact keep your whole IP CCTV system running during a power outage.
However, currently none of the Hikvision range of NVRs offer any connectivity to interact with a UPS and shutdown safely before the UPS power finally runs out...

Smart Events not activating by camera
New user here. Apologies if this has been asked before. I have 3 new DS-2CD2086G2-I cameras and an NVR DS-7608NI-I2/8P. All 4 units are on the network. I'm not using the POE ports on the NVR. I have setup smart events including line crossing and intrusion. I receive alerts and emails for both from the NVR when this is selected, but cannot appear to get these directly from the cameras.
