Hi Guys,

I'm new to business here, but have made a video tutorial to decrease fan noise on my AcuSense 7608-NXI-i2-4S device. Maybe this helps others as internal construction of many NVRs from HikVision seems to be almost the same.

I also have some questions towards the community.
1. What is my latest firmware available for my NVR?
It is an AcuSense 7608NXI-i2-4s, but as I see it is not a full i-series device.
i-series are up to 4.22, but mine seems to be different. Can I use firmware here...

After Enabling Rotate/Corridor Mode for one of my Cameras the Live View appears Squashed in the Hik-Connect App

I have an issue in that even after all this is done, using a mobile app like iVMS or HokConnect doesn't work for rotated/corridor mode. It still displays it in portrsit and the image is squashed and looks odd.

It looks fine on the local or web browser live view though.

Any ideas?

Hikvision DS-1005KI Joystick Not Communicating with iVMS-4200

I have my Hik cameras going into my Hik NVR. The NVR is connected via CAT6 cable to a PC that runs IVMS-4200. The NVR just acts as the recorder.
I have a Hik DS-1005KI joystick that I used in a different configuration but in the above configuration I can't get it to work. I've plugged it into both USB ports of the NVR and into the PC and initiated it but no response. I'm wondering if I have to tell IVMS where it is somehow as the joystick merely being recognized by the PC isn't enough.

How do I automatically full-screen a camera when it detects motion?

Q:

I have motion detection configured for all the cameras around my house.

When I'm monitoring my cameras on the DS-7608NI-I2-8P, is it possible to make it so that when a camera detects motion, the NVR will switch to that camera or make it full-screen for a while so I can track the motion?...​

Hi guys,

I have the following cameras and NVR

DS-2CD2342WD-I
DS-2CD2142FWD-IS

DS-7716NI-E4 / 16P

I reset my 7716NI-E4 to factory default settings and now I can't access each camera individually using the URL links when you log in via browser? (usually it says connect under the connect tab). I've setup the IP address/gateway and dns exactly the same as it was.

Any help would be appreciated

Hello,

The camera that i have is a DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZS/P and in its documentation it says that images can be captured at an interval of 500 milliseconds.
They say that we can configure the event-triggered snapshot and to capture the snapshot with the interval between them 500 ms. In the truth is 1000 ms.

Firmware version: V5.4.7 build 180611,

Also i test with the firmare: 5.4.7 build 18.03.09 and occure same problem.

How to get HIGHEST settings on NVR

Hi,

I have a DS-7608NI-K2/8p

Currently, if I set my 8MP cameras to Highest image quality they do not record or run on live view at any frame rate.

I lower that to the 'Higher' setting then they run even at 20 FPS.

Is there something I should be doing differently?

I'm slowly replacing all my cameras. Eventually I will have 6x 8MP.

What is currently the best NVR for this? Or is it not an NVR issue?

Smart tracking and NVR issue

I set the smart tracking in the cameras own console DS-2DE4A225IW-DE and it tracks seamlessly however the NVR DS-7604NI-E1 / 4P/A does not record the smart tracking. The NVR records fine when the Smart tracking if off. Can anyone tell me what settings I need to enable/disable for the smart tracking to be please? Both of cameras and the NVR have the latest Firmware.

Hello,
I have two NVRs one from Super I series (DS-96128NI-I16) and one from I series (DS-9664NI-I8),
according to NVR(128ch User manual) there is a capture schedule for taking picture for time lapse or events like face detection

but as you could see below there is no menu for this configuration

but in my 64ch NVR there is tab for configuring this feature...

Like many other threads on here, I found my new DS-7608NI-K2-8P unbearably loud. It has a channel well technologies PSU (KSA-180S2) with a 12v 5A rail, a 52v 2.5A rail and a really noisy 40mm fan, and then a second not-quite-as-noisy 40mm fan on the case.

Everyone has a different sensitivity to this sort of a noise so I've seen some people say it's fine, and that's great for them. But mine was shut in a thick walled cupboard with a heavy tight-fitting door, and it would still be loud...

Latest Firmware bug or just my software?

I installed the latest firmware 5.6.15 on both of my cameras and when I login to either of them in ie11 the PTZ console is not there. The PTZ header is there but all of the other buttons, up, down, left, right are not the area is just blank even the presets do not show. I thought it may be the browser so I tried a different one and that was the same also in that browser live view failed. I have reverted back to 5.6.11 and all is back to normal. Can anyone please shed any light on this...

Latest Firmware bug or just my software?

Hi,
This is an image taken this morning off one of my cameras.

Its a 8MP Dark fighter. 2.8mm lens.

FPS - Full frame
Image Quality - Highest

Should I be expecting better quality at this range? Image wassailed from playback vis Hikconnect.

Any tips/advice.

Hi newbie here,

We are looking for a 12 camera install for our domestic property (well that's what we have been recommended). We can't choose between the accusense or dark fighter hikvision cameras and which nvr to go with.

My car was stolen off our drive so I've become security mad. Used to have sleepless nights after the event for about 18 months. Our drive is approximately 6m deep onto our road and our back garden approximately 8m deep.

I have read the info about both cameras but...

Hi All,

After a recent attempted break-in I decided to install some CCTV. I went for the 4K Reolink NVR system as a quick Amazon buy.

I quickly realised that the night time video quality was never going to capture enough detail to identify someone accurately.

So, after doing some more detailed research (Forums are great) I decided to try out the Hikvision ColorVu DS-2CD2347G1-L(U).

As I needed a lockdown project I decided to put together a comparison video. Hope someone finds it...

My CAM are pluged into the NVR (POE) and the CAM are declared on a sub network.

Is it possible to have the CAM and the NVR on the same network?

VCA NVR or IPCAM

Hi

I have 2 DS-2CD2146G1-I connected to DS-7608NXI-I2/8P/4S.

I am lost about the way to setup parameter between the NVR and the IPCAM, especially for VCA.

It seems there are several limitation on the NVR compared to the IPCAM.

Also the NVR refuses the access to VCA submenu due to the fact there no VCA device connected. But the IPCAM has VCA feature.

Any idea?

Hi all,

We've just got some new HikVision DS-2CD2386G2-IU cameras, however there seems to be an issue with their compatibility with our DS-7216HUHI-K2 DVR. After adding the cameras to the unit the options suddenly disappeared in the DVR for the human and vehicle detection in events after showing for a short time. The DVR being one of the newer models to my understanding does support "human and vehicle files" as these options are always accessible in the GUI. I cannot seem to find any...
