Hik-Connect isn't working on my Android device

I've been setting up my Hik NVR recently and using my Ipad and Android mobile for remote viewing. I had tried the Hik Connect app and the iVMS 4500 for viewing. iVMS seem to work ok on both platforms, but I couldn't get HIK connect to work properly on either. However, I discovered that on the Ipad, if I used my HIK connect username (not phone number or email as the prompt suggests) it works. But it still wont work on the Android phone. I'm sticking with iVMS 4500 on both as it seems to be...

Set up the same as
DS-2CD2085FWD-I
DS-2CD2185FWD-I
It records video to the SD Card but no pictures ?? (the test to the FTP server works but no pictures)
Any suggestions please?

Camera & NVR Firmware updates?

I see lots of posts about updating the camera & NVR firmware but i find the whole task of finding the correct Hikvision firmware very confusing a daunting,
I have looked and did download what i thought was the correct firmware for my NVR but on trying to load it it came back that it was not compatible can anyone point me to what would be the correct firmware updates for my NVR and cameras please?

NVR is the: DS-7608-NI-K2-8P
Cameras are: DS2CD2347G1-LU 4MP ColorVu with audio.

Push Notification clarity/formatting?

Hi,
I've been using a DS-7216HQHI for a few years and have always received push notifications in a nice readable format such as 'From: Driveway'

I've now added a iDS-7208HUHI but the notifications take the form of 'From :iDS-7208HUHI-K1-4S(serial number) Driveway' which means that on the phone alert, the actual camera name is truncated.

Happens on both IOS and Android iVMS-4200 versions and I can't find a setting to remove the DVR unit number from the push notification in the DVR settings...

DS-KD8003-IME2 speaker makes noise all the time

Hello!

I installed my intercom system this weekend with:
  • DS-KH6320-WTE2
  • DS-KD8003-IME2
  • DS-KAD706
all works fine. But the outdoor station is making noise all the time with the speaker. Like a interference signal in the 90s. This is a good example: Electric Buzzing Steady its not very loud. with the cars on the road you can't here it. but in the evening with 10 cm between your ear and the KD8003 you...

7 line ANPR Firmware

I have noticed there was a firmware release for the 7 line ANPR Camera that was located un the Zatpark folder not the Baseline.
Being testing this firmware for the last 3 day an can say there are so good improvements.

I have observed that when parked car are in the scene the camera dose not keep uploading plate alarms every 5 seconds.

I have also observed that if the vehicle has no number plate of it is to dirty to read it will no longer upload a VCA Alarm of a NoPlate.

Here is an odd one this has happened three times so far and only when making an adjustment to any setting on the NVR but the first was when adjusting the camera light,
Once set and saved the light proceeded to switch on and off several times and then settled down, the second i cant remember what i was adjusting but not the light and the third was last night i was actually adjusting the output resolution of the NVR to the TV and it did the same again it only seems to happen to just one of the...

Hik DS-KV8102 Door Station & Hik Connect Issues

Hello

Have x2 DS-KV8102 Door Stations & x2 DS-KH8300 Home Stations all connected up properly and working without any issues.

Trying to add the door station to the Hik Connect App via the Serial Number but it keeps saying the device is offline. It's definitely online in IVMS, IP on the same subnet, firmware upto date, basically everything correct, i wouldn't say i'm an expert with this kit but I've installed a fair few.

If I add the door station using QR code from IVMS, I get the camera...

Hi all,
just bought video intercom door station (DS-KV8102-IM) and Video Intercom Indoor Station with 7-inch Touch Screen (DS-KH6310-WL)
from the indoor station I can see the camera on the door station hear everything, open the electric lock, answer call from the door station, everything is working great.
the issue is with the HIK-connect App, iv added the indoor station, now when someone ring outside at the door station I got the call via the App to my iPhone, I can talk to that person from...

Tip for push notifications with Hik Connect App

I hope this isn't a repost, and I also hope this helps others. I've struggled to get push notifications to work with the Hik Connect App, so much so that I kept giving up and going back to IVMS 4500 just for the live view. I finally figured out the bug tonight so I'm passing this on:

It's obvious on initial setup that you have to enable "message push notifications" in the settings menu. I did that many times, but unfortunately it did not result in any push notifications...

Hello all,
I've got the following setup at home:
NVR: DS-7604NI-K1(B)
CAM1: DS-2CD2385G1-I
CAM2: DS-2CD2065G1-I
CAM3: DS-2CD2143G0-I

Now, there is a need to install another 6 cams. So I am now scratching my head and thinking, whether I should buy a 2nd NVR, smth like DS-7608NI-K2/8P PoE for another 8 channels.

Or, alternatively, sell the existing NVR and buy a single unit for all cameras: DS-7616NI-K2/16P PoE, for 16 channels.

Currently, I think...

iVMS-4200 Mac vs Windows disconnect

Yesterday, following instructions from Hikvision, I reset one of my devices (DS-KD8003-IME1 video intercom door station) to default following a firmware upgrade and reactivated it with its new IP address. It now shows up as 'online' in iVMS-4200 both in MacOs and in Windows (running in emulation on my Mac). It also functions perfectly via my video intercom indoor stations.

But whereas the live feed plays willingly on my Mac, it refuses to play on Windows (where my other cameras all play...

Problems Running iVMS-4200 on MacOS Catalina(10.15)

We have had several customers and forum users reporting problems running iVMS-4200 since updating to MacOS Catalina (10.15), the reports have varied from some saying the software runs ok but does crash unexpectedly to others saying the iVMS software does not work at all.

If you have G1 cameras (2xx3G0/2xx5FWD/2xx5G1) and/or an I-series NVR you can get around the iVMS issues by updating to the latest firmware and logging in to the NVR/cameras with any browser using the 'plug-in free'...

Interesting Hik Connect feature

I can't believe I haven't noticed this before. One feature in the app allows you to disable alarm notifications (NOT push notifications) for whatever reason - for example, you are at home during the day when normally your NVR schedule would cause line crossing/intrusion alarms. If you disable alarm notifications and forget to re-arm them, the app resets at midnight and re-arms the alarm notifications.

With work at home lately, I find myself having to disable alarm notifications so I am not...

Hikvison camer going offline at night

Hello
I am really frustrated with
I have installed total of 5 Hikvison all ds2cd2155 two are facesing back garden and two front of house and one indoor
All connected to Hikvison NVR 7600K 8 channels POE my problem is the two facing back garden
They keep going of line mainly at night and when it is cold
The cable run is 20m I thought this was issue so I changed it cat 6 I have covered them well in a conduct pipe
I double checked connectors all fine
I have sawpped camera form to back so...
