Face detection

Hi guys
I've enabled face detection on a couple of my cameras, but I (maybe mistakenly) thought the NVR would capture and store stills of the faces etc. I can't seem to find where that is, if it does. Otherwise, how can I use face detection, please? Any input gratefully received!

Config for example is DS-7608NI-I2 with a DS-2CD2385G1-I camera.

NVR and camera both on latest firmware I believe.

DS-2CD2385G1-I is on V5.6.2 build 190701 whilst the DS-7608NI-I2 is on V4.21.008 build 190625...

Hi All
Just setting up my new Hikvision nvr DS-7604NI-K1-4P and i've started by adding my 2 existing cheaper non Hikvision cameras, which are added and are showing in the home screen. As the title suggests, I am getting an error/warning for both of those cameras "resolution or bitrate of substream not supported"?

I've looked at those settings and the resolution options on the camera vs what's listed in nvr don't match, however there isn't options that do, i've also unticked the substreams...

Just want to know will a WD 10TB hard drive be ok inside a DS-7616NI-I2 / 16P want more space
right now got a 2x4TB WD Hard Drive need more space looking at getting 2x 10TB Hard Drives then Using the old 2x4tb just for more space on my NAS Drives

iVMS-4200 Error Code - Could someone please help!

Hi

When I launch ivms-4200 on the laptop the software runs okay but constantly in the lower right corner of the laptop screen receiving a pop-up message as follows:

'Error code
OpenSDK[310002].
(AccessToken exception or
is expired. Log in to the Hik
Connect account again.)'

I opened my browser and opened up the hik-connect.com address and logged in, but I still receive the message.

Confused ???

Hi,

I'm thinking of going with these cameras and a Hikvision NVR for my first video surveillance. The specs look good with intrusion detection and line-crossing being supported, along with vari-focal optics.

However, what is not clear is the amount of lines that can be tracked with line-crossing. I noticed that some of the older cameras only support 1 line. Some of the high end ones explicitly mention 4 lines.

Can these cameras from the Easy IP 3.0 G1 platform support 4 lines for this...

Auxiliary screen preview on ivms 4200

Hi,
I'm trying to get ivms software to display on two screens but when i put auxiliary screen preview on, my live view works on one screen but when i want to view another live view on the other screen, it gives me an error "play window count is not enough for view".
Any ideas on what the problem can be?

Hi guys,

Im not sure if there has been much said about this, but is there a need to do updates in a certain sequence to bring the camera update? Or can I just pick the latest update and do that one?

Hikvision 1080p camera showing as 720p in record settings

I am using cctv cameras of hikvision 2ce1adot - irpf 4 numbers. These are of 2mp and 1080p configuration.

The dvr used is 7a04hqhi-k1. A cctv technician only installed it.

But when I check the record settings, the camera is shown as 720p25 and record mode maximum resolution is 720p and below only. I cant find full hd or 1080p mode in that.

What did i get wrong here? I checked the camera and dvr labels and all of them shows the correct model numbers. Please help. Its urgent.

I cannot view my downloaded video

Hi, when viewing my cameras on HikVision IP via the laptop I can operate the 'Recording' or 'Capture' feature and in the bottom right corner it tells me that it was successful and also displays where the file was saved to, but I can only view the Jpeg still images, the Mp4 files error when I try to view them.
The cameras are set-up in 1080p HD at H264+, I am using Windows 10. I am used to viewing Mp4 files as this is the same files as used with my GoPro video camera and it won't play the...

Hikvision DS-7216HGHI missing gaps in recording

I have a Hikvision DS-7216HGHI and for the past few months has been missing gaps in recording, so in ivms it will jump randomly.

It tends to have bigger missed blocks during the night with no movement, but is still quite random as even though there is activity some blocks will be missed during the day. 13 cameras and they all have missing blocks.

Not sure what hard drive is in it, but it was replaced about a year ago - is there a way to check...

Hikvision DS-7208HQHI. No sound when alarm started.

I added stereo speakers to my Hikvision DS-7208HQHI for alarm purpose. Unfortunately I don’t hear any sound when its fired.
I checked manual many times and all settings even restart device but still no progress...
Speaker itself works fine. It does make sound when wrong pass typed.

iVMS4500 for Android

Does anyone know if there is a detailed 'How to' page/video anywhere that shows how to set up iVMS4500 or iVMS4200 on an Android phone.

I thought that I had followed carefully the instructions that I have found but, I always get a 'Connection Failed' message

My cameras are connected directly to my NVR and so I am using that IP address to enter into the configuration of iVMS app.

Any thoughts anyone?

Spurious VCA events!

Hi,
I'm having a problem with false alarms on the Hik-Connect mobile app originating from DS-7216HQHI-F1/N.

This manifests itself as a push notification, say a line-crossing, but when you press the button for playback, there is no recorded video, also using iVMS desktop app or direct to the DVR I find that there is NO event or video recorded in the DVR itself, in fact if I play through the VCA events I can see that each one has a genuine cause for the event.

Hi, I posted this onto another thread but think maybe that wasn't correct so i have resubmitted it separately. If that is wrong please remove if necessary.

I have a DS-7604NI-K1/4P NVR and a DS-2CD2345FWD cam. I do not get notification or any acknowledgement for face detection and VCA says no device available. I get motion detection ok.

Is it possible to remotely configure the live view HDMI output for NVR?

Greetings!

I'm not seeing where I'd be able to configure the local NVR output remotely? DS-9632. I have some local system settings in terms of resolution for the different HDMI/VGA ports. But I want to be able to configure which cameras are being displayed and in what order?

I've seen that this can be done with video wall devices and decoders through iVMS, but I'm not seeing that this is possible for the standard NVR output? We're hoping to be able to figure this out as we want to...

Is it possible to remotely configure the live view HDMI output for NVR?

Getting Non HikVision camera to display on iVMS-4500

Is it possible to get a Non HikVision camera to display on iVMS-4500 viewer? just a local LAN connection needed....
I've got 5 Hikvision cameras that display fine in iVMS-4500, but would like to add one Non-HikVision camera (An older TrendNet Camera)
Does a tutorial on this exist?
