Lag using network camera as baby monitor

Hi I'm using a DS-2CD2542FWD-IS as a baby monitor and finding that while constantly streaming to an iPad overnight the camera becomes around 10minutes behind by the morning. Stop/start fixes it but is there anything I can do to keep the stream accurate.
I have turned off recording, set the video to medium 15fps and h264+ is off to try and keep network traffic low.
