Hikvision NVR admin password issue - could the NVR have already been configured before?

Hi all,

I setup a hik NVR over the weekend and My understanding was that it should prompt you to setup an admin password first thing.

I wasn’t able to do this, so I ended pressing the little reset button inside the NVR

I was then able to get in and do the rest.

so my question is ... could the NVR have already been configured before?
